The BBC have excelled themselves once again. This time they interviewed a man who they thought was an IT expert live on BBC News 24. It turned out the man was there for a job interview to become a cleaner! Utter genius! To see the story click here

I want a Wii (pronounced wee)
I’ve been watching the presentations by Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo at this years E3 – a huge game’s festival where all the big names show off their new stuff. I’m not normally a big gamer. I don’t have a console, I’m crap at everything apart from Wipeout & Tony Hawks and I get sick while playing Jedi Outcast (I had to stop after 10minutes today cos of the motion sickness – bluergh!). But I am so impressed by some of the new consoles coming out. Sony’s Playstation 3 looks amazing, the graphics are outstanding! Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and it’s Live Anywhere means you buy one game and you can play or interact with it on you Xbox 360, your Windows Vista computer, and your mobile phone! However, I was pretty bowled over by Nintendo’s Wii. It has the most revolutionary controller. A kind of wand that you wave around to interact with games. For example, in their demo, they showed a tennis game with four people where they all swung the controller around to hit the ball. You can even add top spin by twisting you hand as you hit it. Now that sounds fun! No more sitting infront of a screen with a joypad, but much more interactivity and just all around FUN! That’s what games should be, fun!

McDonalds and Disney file for divorce
Or at least thats the way BBC News made it out to be. Listen to some of these statements:

- “In separate statements, both of the US giants insisted that the separation was ending amicably for business reasons.“
- ““To set the record straight, we have had a very positive relationship with McDonald’s for the last 10 years,” said Disney in a statement.“
- “The burger giant said the story was “based on Hollywood hearsay” and “a misrepresentation of the truth”.“
I’m sure I’ve heard variations of those sentences in relation to various Hollywood divorces, like Jessica Simpson and her unfamous husband, Nick Someone-or-other or Matt Le Blanc and his unfamous hot wife (is unfamous a word?). Maybe it’s just me, having read one to many issues of Heat.
DJ Scruff – The Alternative Mr Scruff
This is absolutely genius… A guy calling himself DJ Scruff. I found it linked on the Mr Scruff website and almost wet myself! Wait until you see his setup, a £50 mixer and two portable CD players lol!
Oh… Dave nearly died!
Well, turns out David Blaine did almost die last night. Having been in his bubble for nearly around a week, he decided to go for the world record of holding his breath underwater for 9 minutes. He passed out at 7 minutes and had to be rescued! Not only that but his skin is peeling, one of the many side effects of long term submersion in water. Other side effects include nerve damage, blackouts, sleep deprivation and skin problems. What a muppet! You can watch a video clip of his failed attempt on BBC News.
Titanic 2: Two The Surface
Bless her. When I spoke to Amy the other day, she was convinced that there was going to be a sequel to Titanic & that she’d already seen the trailer. Well I didn’t doubt she’d seen the trailer, but I was fairly dubious about it being a fake trailer. Well now I’ve seen it & it’s genius!!! Absolute genius! Watch it below or check it out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vD4OnHCRd_4
The Beast Is Complete
Yes! I’ve finally finished my new computer! I bought a new 256Mb Graphics Card & a copy of Windows XP on Saturday and set those up. And today I copied all my music across & installed the second sound card so my mini funk box is already for DJing live! I think my first live gig with it will be my big sisters wedding – a perfect opportunity for it to go tits up! There’s only 2 more non-essential bits i want for it. A second beast of a hard drive & a flat screen monitor. Then I’m well & truly sorted.
My Wild and Wonderful Sunday
Yesterday was the first day of the new kids club at church with our cactus club kids. It was both fun and not fun. I was bit, kicked in the chin and told off by an old lady for playing pat-a-cake in the worship with one of kids – that last one really pee’d me off! The biting and kicking you expect from a hyperactive, misbehaving child, but for me to look after 6 kids on my own in a completely none kiddy-fied environment for 15minutes was a pushing it. I mean, how can you expect 6 kids, none of whom have been to church before to sit quietly while a bunch of old farts put their hands in the sky and sway, chanting hits from the bible camps? And it doesn’t just apply to the kids I was with, how can any kid be expected to sit there through that! What frustrated me more with the woman was that she said “Some of us want to worship”. Don’t we all? It’s just kids in particular have to worship in way that relates to them. How can you expect them to join in when most of them can’t read!!! I think next week I will say I’m gonna play a few games starting from as soon as I get their, the rest of the helpers can pray, setup craft whatever, because I’m not gonna force the poor kids to sit there through that boringness (I realised I’m creating some new words here – but they’re the only way I can express my frustration) I should say I’m not annoyed with the woman, I’m annoyed with the way the church has ignored the kids. Infact, maybe I should just let the kids all run riot during the worship in the main meeting, I’m sure that’d be a much better way of getting things to change
