Ok, a life lesson. Never squeeze spots in public, even if you think no-one’s watching, because chances are there are 20 people watching you on security camera upstairs. At least they were kind enough to applaud me when I got out of the lift! Anyway, what a great weekend! BLVD on friday night (see the pictures below, they’re on picasa web because there were far too many to put up here), then ice skating in central park yesterday, followed by a Korean BBQ (Now Julia and everyone else can stop pestering me to try Korean food, and ‘yes’ it is good!) and then we went to Korean Karaoke thingy. How much fun was that!!! My voice is slightly croaky now though, at least my next (and final) phone interview is not until Tuesday morning.

ot necessarily in that order. So yeah… I’m getting married! Only joking! I’ve just put some photo’s from my brothers wedding up in my gallery and some photo’s from the awesome roller disco in New York a few weeks ago. And I have a new awesome laptop! Awesome! And it was cheap! Kool & the Gang! Plus I had 2 really good interviews for some really cool jobs today. And I had a great time on Monday night for Lotte’s birthday (photo’s from Will yet to come). And… actually thats it now.

Hungover in Mallorca

I’m sooooooo knackered! It’s 12.30pm here, I’ve had 4hours sleep having got in at 7.30am from the wedding. I have to get to the airport in an hours time & my head is still spinning! But I have had a fantastic night. The wedding was great (tho a little different from the typical english wedding). I’ve tried out my Spanish with Dan & Laia’s friends “Vaya rollo de boda, donde esta el bar mas cercano” and “A Dan no se le nota el embarazo”. They tried their english back. I took loads of pics which I may try to put on here before I go to the airport if I have time. I think the highlight of the night had to be my Dad storming through the crowd to the front were the band were and snatching the mic when they started playing The Rolling Stones and pacing back and forth doing his Mick Jagger impression! It was hilarious (and scary because we’ve never seen him do stuff like that!) Overall it was a great night. The venue was the most beautiful place ever, even if it was in the middle of nowhere! Anyway, I’d best go pack my stuff. Adios amigos!

Hello beautiful people! How are you all? I’m sat in my bro’s apartment, 4.22am and it’s his big fat Spanish wedding 2mz from 6pm-6am! So I should probably get some sleep! I’m flying out to New York next saturday!!! So soon!!! I can’t wait! James has just passed me the photo’s from Jarvis Cocker DJing at the Mint Lounge a few weeks back. I did shake his hand! Honestly!!! It was one of those moments where the world around you disappears and there’s a connection with you and said person and nothing else matters, not even photo’s to prove I completed some bloody challenge.

Another Challenge Completed: Celebrity Handshaking

Wahey! Things are going well! I’ve seen 3 celebrities in the past 2 days! I shoke only two hands and I only have proof of one handshake:

The first major celeb (biggest of the lot infact) was Mr Bruce Willis!!! He of Die Hard fame! Yes, the one with the bald head and used to be married to Demi Moore. I took a few pictures, and I’ll whack them online after my holiday.
The second semi-major celeb was… Sonic the Hedgehog! Ok, not quite a celeb, but still I thought I’d shake his hand as a back up. I have proof of this one, but Amy has the photo, so I’ll put up when she gets a chance to email it me.
The third and final celeb was Mr Jarvis Cocker. He of Pulp fame. The “Common People” singerer. I went to see him DJ last night and it was AWESOME!!!! The guy is leg end (aka ankle). James has loads of pics which I’ll put up when he sends them me, but sadly he was too starstruck when I shook Jarvis’s hand as he made his way to the toilet.

I’ll still keep my eyes open for more celeb handshaking opportunities, but for now I’m crossing it off my list! I’m off to Mallorca 2mz with Laura to go gatecrash my big bro and his fianceÃ©s place. I’ll be back next saturday with photo’s, stories and the obligitary sun burn – keepin’ it real for the Brits! See you in a week!

25 Challenges: The Tattoo and Pink for a Day Proof!

I said a while ago I completed these two challenges but I’ve been waiting for Will to give the photo’s. Finally I have them and they should be uploaded into my gallery very soon (which seems to have cocked up since I last played with it. I’ll fix it at some point.) Anyway, proof number one of my tattoo!! Yes you can’t believe a good boy like me would ever get a tattoo!?! Well It’s true!

Yes I know I look like a twat in all of them, but I was quite merry!!! As for the pink… Well it turns out Will doesn’t have many clear pictures of the dress, but there’s one of the state of it at rhe end of the night…

sniff Sankey’s is closing!

I just randomly found this article about Sankeys Soap shutting down!! Sankeys, for those that don’t know, is Manchester’s main club for big name DJs & has some of the best nights on there, Bugged Out, Tribal Sessions & Redlight. It’s named after the old Soap factory which the club is in. I’ve had so many great times there. However, all is not lost. Turns out the owner is gonna redecorate the place and even put in a garden out back! Phewww! I do remember some great nights there tho (insert Wayne’s World sound effect here)

My first time in there with Mul has to be the greatest still… DJ Dexter from the Avalanches!! If there’s ~~one~~ 5 DJs you have to see (hmm… good idea for a list!) DJ Dexter is in the top 3! If you like fun, wacky, random music then you’ll love Dexter! He plays everything from Hip Hop, Jazz, 80s electro, Rock (as in real rock – Queens of the Stone Age! They rock! hehe, see what i did there!?!), soul, the list goes on! And he has HUGE afro which just bounces around as he DJs! It’s quite mesmerising. Infact, I may try dig out a mix of his and put it up. Anyway… yeah… that was a great night. And to think we nearly stayed with Colin in Teasers!!
The first time seeing the Plump DJs with Timmy Tekno Funk. Those guys were awesome! Bleeps & Squeeks – Coolio
The time we saw the Chemical Brothers DJing there on a sold out night – it was far too busy. They far too crap (as DJs – they’re an awesome live band/group). But I’ll never forget knocking a plate full of curried chips over Dawn & then Tim throwing a piece of pizza at me which cut my forehead and drew blood!!! Now that is some dodgy pizza!
The random time last year I decided to go to the Boom night there on my own. Yes, I am officially a loner! Needless to say, I had a rocking time! Chatted with a few randomers, heard some of the funkiest bootlegs ever and had a laugh at the fact that downstairs was absolutely empty!!! The night was put on by XFM and they had all their DJs downstairs. Boom were hosting the upstairs room and managed to completely fill that one out!! Dan, who runs the Boom website & nights, offered to let the XFM DJs play upstairs cos there was little point them doing anything downstairs! Hahaha
*sigh* I could go on forever! The time we saw UNKLE, Adam Freeland, the 2nd time we saw Dexter (we returned with Tim & J-Shad – an old friend of ours who, when she wore her DJ Shadow TShirt, we could only read the words J Shad – I’ll let you figure out why ), the numerous times we went to see Krafty Kuts (no wonder he’s been nominated greatest breaks DJ for the past two years)… and I’ll stop there

I’m feeling quite emotional now… Me and Sankeys have quite a relationship! Actually, I’ll do the man thing & dump he for the better looking model when it’s built
