Well, so far so good! Apart from breaking a tooth, throwing up in my bag (a long story, but it did seem the best option at the time) and getting very lost (thankfully I have a Not For Tourists guide to New York now – thanks Julia!). I can’t really think of much to say cos people are standing here waiting to go to the bar, so I’ll let the photo’s speak for themselves. Take a look at them in the Gallery. Mallorca trip number 2

Me and Amy got back from Mallorca this morning at 5am. Having had very little sleep on a freezing cold airplane, I happily tucked myself into bed and had the best sleep ever!!! We had a fantastic time! We went Rollerblading, Kayaking, Snorkelling, Touristing, had LOADS of ice cream (they have some amazing home-made ice cream parlours), had tapas, I even had to cook my own food in one restaurant on a heated stone, and Amy played lots of Sudoku… infact I think the last 2 days of the holiday were mostly taken up with me waiting for Amy to finish playing Suduko or helping complete one at 2am when I was half sleep. I wish I’d never taken that bloody Nintendo away with me (aside from that, I found out I’ve got one of the 1 in 5000 with a dodgy hinge and need to get it fixed now )

I’m heading back to Mallorca!

Wahey! I’ve just booked me & Amy a cheap flight to Mallorca on Tuesday for 5 days. I can’t wait! My brother’s got a kayak now so I can have a go at eskimo rolls for my 25 challenges and I can go skinny dipping! (I never got round to doing it last time, tho I did pee in the sea which is quite a weird experience. Anyway, thats by the by) So, yeah, I’m off 2mz to London too to party!!! And meet up with a few of the Binnie Court guys (reunions, yey!) I’m all hyper now!

I thought I’d reflect over the year to make sure I have actually done something.

Achievements

Made lots of new friends
14 celebrities spotted (Saw Jessica Simpson! phwarr!))
8 people made fall in love with Mr Scruff
7 birthday parties attended
6 parties DJed at.
5 planes travelled on
3 Salsa lessons taken
3 trips abroad.
3 girls snogged (no men this year – infact, no men ever!)
3 occasions where i threw up on alcohol (one which ruined my stomach for 3 days!)
1 filling without any anaesthetic (hard-core!)

1 girl/lady taken out for a posh meal in my suit(she then got hit on by a lesbian in a club after! lol)
1 award won for my 3rd year project
1 new language learnt and used it (French)
1 appearance on TV (in a ladies wetsuit (BBC 2 Wales))
1 job got for when I graduate (and a damn good one too!)
1 strip-tease performed at work in the canteen (It sounds a lot worse when I say it like that)

Revisting Mine & Kerrie’s trip to Paris

When I was copying the photo’s from my camera of London, I realised I hadn’t posted any of the photo’s from ym trip to Paris with Kerrie in the summer!!! So here we are! Some fantastic Parisian Photo’s! I hope you enjoy them!

The Louvre Glass Pyramid thingy. I don’t understand why it’s there and what it has to do with the Louvre, but doesn’t it look interesting!

My Day Trip To London

Yesterday I went down to London for the day to visit Amy (pictured below). I don’t really know what I was expecting, but definately NOT what we ended up doing! It was ace!!!

I set off bright and early from Manchester Piccadily at 9.15am and arrived at London Euston at 11.28am. I met up with Amy and then we headed off for Dim Sun at Ping Pong! Mmmm! We then rushed off to Westminister for a guided tour of Parliament from one of Amy’s friends! It was so cool! I never expected that we’d go to Parliament and go in all the random back rooms. We even had a cup of Earl Grey tea in the Portculis House or whatever its called!!!

After parliament, we went and had a quick game of bowling. I won (of course) 117 to 90! I won’t brag though, Amy did get a strike, which i couldn’t achieve After that we went on the London Eye and watched the sunset oevr the city (a very difficult thing to time, but I think we managed it ok!) Here’s a beautiful picture of the sunset with Big Ben on the left shadowed.

After our round trip during which we tried to do a stupid pose for the automatic photo thingy but were hidden behind the bars on the capsule so we just liked like a pair of idiots, we honked off to Oxford Street to see the turning on of the Christmas lights! What a celeb filled fandabbydozzie show that was; Toby Anstis, the ex-kids TV show presenter, Jamie Theakston, Louis Walsh (who got a right royal booing from the crowd), A few X-Factor guys (namely Chico, Nicholas, Brenda and Andy (i think)), and the biggest show-stoppers of them all Westlife!!! It was such a treat. However, I do have to admit, that the actual turning on of the lights was much better in Manchester last year with Shrek and Shazney Lewis because there was fireworks and stuff. London just had falling snow and the lights came on really slowly, like on row at a time!! Hardly riveting! I suppose thats why they need big names to draw in the crowds!!! Anyway here’s a few pics of Westlife and the lights coming on.

After that, we met up with Richard who I lived with in the summer and went for another chinese banquet in china town. Mm-mmm! I finally departed from London at 10.05pm and arrived back in Manchester Picadilly at 01.28am! I was pooped!! But I had such a fantastic day! I never expected to fit that much in! So a huge thank you to Amy for organising it all! I shall leave you all with a picture of me in ladies spectacles (hmm… sexy and sophisticated!)

Scabby Birthday!!!

I’ve been away for a bit! It was Abi’s 21st birthday party on saturday in Cambridge so I hopped on a train (actually two coaches and a train) and headed for the party. Along the way I invited a few old friends who’d been working / living with this summer. It was so so good to see everyone again! I ended up staying til wednesday (I have no courses at uni at the moment, it’s so so nice!) I wish I was still there. No offence to Manchester, but I’m a little bit bored of it all now, plus I really miss having a laugh with scab and everyone! Also, Monday night’s in Fez! Oh my word!!! How good!!! There’s nothing like it in Manchester and there really should be!!! Tuesday night was also great, Me and loads of girls! It doens’t happen very often, so I made the most of it and treated everyone to a couple of bottles of wine!
Cheers to everyone who looked after me, Rick & Scab for the floor space, Hannah for the lilo and baby sitting me on sunday night, Amy for a swig of the Champagne you blagged from the DJ, Amy Lai for popping up for the night (was great to see you again), Jing and Richard for meeting us at all the party (was great to see you guys again too), Abi’s random mate Alex who popped a load pink pigs in my bag and everyone else for letting me have such a great time!!!
